Every year, School of Visual Arts’ Masters in Branding alumni develop a branding conference, Brandstand, that focuses on a topical challenge facing the industry. In 2019, the theme was “belonging” and the tension between the universal human needs for both belonging and individuality. Speakers included Debbie Millman, Steven Heller, Jack Ferver, and Chris Ying.
I led a design team that launched the visual identity, which was integrated into all aspects of the conference — at the center of which were custom “i”’s designed by faculty, alumni and current students. Output included branded animations, digital digital campaigns leading up to and throughout the course of the event, physical signage, and swag giveaways.
