My name is Michael Shirey, and I am an award-winning brand designer based in New York City who specializes in graphic design, brand identity, and strategy.
I strive to work with brands at the intersection of profit and philanthropy and create timeless, unique solutions.
My work has been featured in Communication Arts, the New York Press Association, and the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals MarCom Awards.
In 2019, I completed the Masters in Branding program chaired by Debbie Millman at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where I had the opportunity to work with brands, including Peloton, YouTube, Kiehl's, Facebook, and The Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science. Upon graduating, I was awarded the Lauren Zelski Award, the Masters in Branding program's highest honor awarded annually to the student with "the most heart" — who outperformed in classwork, honors, and thesis.
I am currently freelancing brand design and strategy.
